David & Lisette Williams
(Operation Mobilisation : Ships)
David first joined the Operation Mobilisation (OM) ship ministry as a Watch Keeper on board MV Logos II in September 1997 for an initial period of two years as part of the OM Global Action programme.
On returning from MV Logos II in 2002, with a view to preparing for future service, David commenced a period of studies and related, off shore and deep water, work experience that would led to him gain a 4th Engineers license in early 2004.
Lisette, who was born in Mauritius, had also served the Lord with OM on board the MV Doulos from 1999 to 2004. The couple met when David spent a number of months on board the MV Doulos as part of his training and were they married in Mauritius in June 2005.
In January 2008, having been accepted by OM for long term service, they left Ballymena to join the MV Doulos in Papua New Guinea. During their first term, David worked in the Engine Room and was promoted to 3rd Engineer while Lisette worked in the Personnel department on board the ship. Over that period the ship visited various ports in Polynesia, Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia.
