Eilish Agnew
(OMF International : Philippines)
Eilish studied at Belfast Bible College before going to the Philippines in 1976 with Overseas
Missionary Fellowship in administration. Eilish joined the Tandang Sora Church Planting Team
in 1985 in Manila and was closely identified with the birth and growth of Cornerstone Christian
Bible Fellowship (CCBF) in Manila. Eilish was particularly involved in discipleship training
and the development of pastoral counseling of CCBF members.
In 1992, when CBCF became fully
self-supporting and self-governing, the missionary team phased out and Eilish returned to
Ireland, resigning from OMF later that year. She then worked for two years with Ballymena
Baptist Church, followed by a years sabbatical study at St. John’s College, Nottingham.
In August 1995 she was invited to join the Pastoral Team at Charlotte Baptist Chapel in
Edinburgh, with responsibilities for the pastoral care and counseling of women within that
fellowship.
Eilish retired from Charlotte Chapel in 2006 and returned to Ballymena where she
has been working with the church in a part-time capacity since September 2007.
