Ruth McKelvey
(MAF : Tanzania)

Before leaving to serve with Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) in Dodoma, Tanzania, Ruth, who had previously graduated as a primary school teacher from Stranmillis completed a two year training course for Missionary Service at All Nations Christian College, Hertfordshire.

Ruth first went to Dodoma in 1994, where she taught at the Canon Andrea Mwaka Primary School; an Anglican primary school in the south of the city, attended by many of the children of her MAF colleagues as well as the children of other ex-patriates.

After a period of time at home from 1997 to 1998, Ruth returned to Dodoma in early 1998 before completing her term of service with MAF in late 1999.
